Get Engine Oil for XV1100

As you experienced for old Yamaha motorcycles,

Even though it is 4-stroke engine, the engine oil is decreasing for your driving,

I often hear the voice.

Oil is leaking from the engine mating surface.

My bike is also leaking from somewhere, so I will look for the cause later. . .

Today, I tried to change the engine oil of XV1100,

I bought the engine oil.

Considering the engine, I only choose to buy genuine one.

So, search internet…

Even if you search for XV1100, 4PP or Virago 1100,

I was not able to meet the genuine engine oil.

According to the service manual,

The recommended oil is as “Yamaha 4-stroke oil Effero G, X, Z”.

I started searching for this oil online.

However, this oil does not exist!

Effero has been reborn as the world’s unified brand “YAMALUBE”!

You search the internet with Yamalube,

will find such as Sports and Premium.

By the way, if you go back to the service manual,

It says to use engine oil which the viscosity number appropriate for the outside temperature

SAE10W-30, SAE20W-40, SAE10W-50, these three types.

I bought a 4L can of Yamalube Sports (SAE10W-40).

Of course it’s a 4 stroke engine oil.

There is a notation of partially synthetic oil, but I think that it is basically mineral oil.

Synthetic oil is more advantageous in terms of fuel consumption,

I have never wanted for fuel efficiency in a motorcycle,

Since the engine oil is changeed every 6000km,

I don’t need such expensive oil.

I bought a good cost performace oil,

Sports (SAE10W-40) 4L can with online for about 4,500 yen.

You can also purchase 1L can, but you need 3 to 3.6L for the oil change,

that recommend purchasing in 4L cans.
